HK claim another esports bronze at Asian Games

Hong Kong, China claimed another esports bronze medal at the Asian Games on Monday. The SAR team of Cheng Ka-hin, Kwok Ho-wa, Kong Tsz-kin, Li Ka-hing, Deng Xinzhan and Chui Sum-ki was beaten by Malaysia in the semifinals of the multiplayer strategy game Honor of Kings. As there is no third-place playoff, Hong Kong will share the bronze medal with the Philippines, who also lost in straight sets to the national team in their semifinal. Malaysia and China will now compete for gold and silver. The SAR had previously beaten Laos in the quarterfinals, and Indonesia and Thailand in the group stage. The medal is Hong Kong, China’s second in esports at these Games. Edited by Tony Sabine
