Did The Uber Driver Murder The Stripper?

Accidental overdose or homicide? Drug dealer or killer? “The Uber Connection” press release.

Folcroft, PA - June 11, 2019 /MarketersMedia/ —

An Uber driver transports a stripper home. When she’s found dead the next day of an apparent drug overdose, police detectives interrogate the driver. After the autopsy classifies the death as a homicide, the driver becomes the prime suspect, then must prove his innocence and find the killer.

“I haven’t sold as many books as John Grisham, James Patterson, Elmore Leonard, Sue Grafton, and dozens of others. But I’ve done things in the crime world that most never dreamed of doing. As a result, I have no problem calling myself America’s Best Crime Writer.”
-- Barry Bowe

Started my writing career with the Daily News of the Virgin islands in 1989. Became the first sportswriter to put the name of future NBA Hall of Famer Tim Duncan on the sports pages. Discovered the voracious appetite of the crime genre and wrote more than 100 stories for True Detective magazines.

Warner Books published Born to Be Wild in 1992 and the classic motorcycle gang saga is still selling 27 years later. In 2001, he turned to crime fiction, has written four novels since, plus three sports books.

Like Jessica Fletcher in Murder She Wrote, Uber driver Steve Piasecki finds himself thrust into the role of amateur detective. When one of his riders is found dead, he must prove his innocence and find the guilty party. To solve the crime, he uses moxie, charisma, and determination.

The story features topless dancers, professional wrestlers, drug dealers, police detectives, DEA agents, medical examiners, lawyers, and judges. It traces the flow of fentanyl from the Sinaloa cartel in Mexico and the Zheng cartel in Shanghai, to a drug czar in New York City, and all the way back to the streets of Philadelphia.

Also contains a love triangle with a pair of women from Philadelphia’s Main Line.
